Born and raised on the Mid North Coast, Dr Chahaya Gauci returned to Coffs Harbour after many years of training and practice across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and regional New South Wales. He completed his medical degree at Monash University and went on to specialise in General and Colorectal Surgery. He now lives locally with his wife, son and much-loved dog.

Dr Gauci sees patients in private consulting rooms and is also currently consulting through the public outpatient department at Coffs Harbour Health Campus. Care through the public hospital system, including surgery at Coffs Harbour Health Campus, is generally coordinated via the public outpatient pathway. Private consultations are available in rooms, with surgery, where required, typically performed at Baringa Private Hospital, Ramsay Surgical Centre or Coffs Day Hospital.
